Ultra High Density DMS Plants for Iron Ore

Modular Ultra High Density (UHDMS) plants that turn low-grade ore, fines and tailings into saleable product, designed, fabricated and commissioned by Red Dune in South Africa.

Higher grade, more value, faster start

Ore below export grade

Ultra High Density DMS separates waste from iron-bearing material at higher densities than conventional DMS, lifting your Fe grade to a saleable spec.

Value sitting in tailings and dumps

Reprocess stockpiles and tailings into product, often with lower mining cost than new ore.

Big plant, big capex, slow start

Modular plants start smaller, install fast and expand as your resource and cash flow grow.

What you get

How it works

  1. Send your data. Ore type, tonnage, current grade and target grade (or a sample).
  2. Free flowsheet review. A plant engineer proposes the circuit and a budget price.
  3. Design and build. 3D design, fabrication, pre-assembled modules shipped to site.
  4. Commission and support. Installation, commissioning and O&M if you need it.

Why Red Dune

Since 2015

Mineral processing engineers, from concept to commissioning.

Built for junior miners

Right-sized plants and expansions that make projects bankable sooner.

One team, end to end

The engineers who design your plant also build, commission and maintain it.

Ships worldwide

Built in South Africa and shipped to sites anywhere in the world.

Frequently asked questions

It is dense medium separation run at much higher medium densities than conventional DMS. That lets it split iron-rich material from waste that is too close in density for a standard plant, so lower-grade ore, fines and tailings can be upgraded to saleable product.

Often, yes. Where the waste and iron-bearing particles differ in density, DMS can lift the grade to a saleable spec. A float-sink test on your sample confirms it before you invest.

Yes. Many operations recover saleable product from tailings and dumps with a modular DMS plant sized to the material.

We size each plant to your resource and can design for expansion, so you can start smaller and add capacity later.

Yes. Our modular plants are designed to be shipped and assembled on sites anywhere in the world, including remote locations.
